"Let's Rock!"- Original Fencing Painting

"Let's Rock", c. Princess Simpson Rashid
7 x7", Watercolor on Paper

Both fencers are in street-fighter mode, especially the one on the left. He is hunkered down ready to defend himself and fight. Because it is epee, he is probably getting ready to counterattack as the guy on the right tries to beat his blade.

Well, that's one way to read it. What is your call?

Fencing Video Inspiration

On January 15,  2011, I fenced in the River City Duel till You Drop fencing tournament in Jacksonville, FL.   I also got a chance to shoot some video of the other fencers.

Epee Touch at River City Duel 2011 from Princess Rashid on Vimeo.

In the next few days I will share watercolor and pencil studies I made of the fencing actions I capture on video.  Try and see if you can find the actions I depict in the watercolor drawings with the actions in the video.  If you wish to commission a drawing based on these studies please contact me.
