"Indicators"-Original Watercolor Painting-Part 3/3

In this painting, I kept the color subdued to keep with the tone of the piece. Why? Because after finishing pools fencers don't tend to feel dynamic or explosive- like in my bold colored paintings (see gallery).  Experienced fencers know that the pools are just warmup- at best to give you a good seating going into direct eliminations. 

So the cool fencer justs want to check his/her score, hope the Director tallies the indicators right so they can relax for minute..go to the bathroom, eat, hydrate and get their mental game tight before the upcoming direct elimination bout(s).
